Sesame Kale Chips
Print Friendly

People have been telling me about kale chips for years.  So why, oh WHY, has it taken me this long to give them a try?  Don’t fall behind in cool-school like me, folks.  Make these!  They are super simple.  Not to mention a delicious and healthy twist on the standard potato chip.

All you need is:
a bunch of kale (I used dinosaur, but any variety will do)
sesame oil
sesame seeds
sea salt

All you do is:
Preheat oven to 300˚.  Wash and dry the kale leaves.  Chop if you want, but I like the look of the whole leaves.  Toss kale leaves with a drizzle of sesame oil (remember, a little goes a long way!) then lay out- in a single layer- on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.  Sprinkle with sea salt and sesame seeds.  Bake for 30-40 minutes, until crisp.  Keep an eye on them the last 10 minutes… you don’t want them to turn brown and/or burn.
